Carmen Lopátegui studied art and interior design in Barcelona, Spain, where she was born in a favorable environment to art.
The long summers on the shore of the Mediterranean sea of her childhood, influenced her with the light and harmony of the nature, materializing by the color, the luminosity and the emotion that communicates her paintings.
Soon she begins to develop her creativity. She started in the world of art with charcoal drawings, that she exposed at young age of fourteen.
During the decade of nineteens she combines the art with the interior design in collaboration with an interior design studio of Barcelona.
Is from the year 2000 when she dedicates her time to her passion of art in exclusive.
Her work has being evolving from oil to acrylics and other mixed techniques, keeping always a big expressivity as in color as in forms, taking on a personal style.
In 1999 she received the reward "Price of Fast Painting" from the municipal council of Sarriá in Barcelona.
She has made expositions in Paris, Rome, Brussels, Copenhagen, Amsterdam, Madrid, Barcelona, Avignon among other cities, as well as participated in the fair "Affordable Art Fair" of Amsterdam and in the international art Fair of Barcelona "Hartexpo".
She will continue doing expositions around Europe and USA in the next years.
